Mr. Clarey’s educational background includes Business and Physics at the University of Arizona and OPM at Harvard Business School. Mr. Reno has built a distinguished career developing policies and strategies related to global, federal, and state laws and regulations. His expertise spans the pharmaceutical, biotech, and gene therapy sectors, as well as companies focused on diagnostics. This extensive experience has led him to specialize in areas such as rare diseases, addiction, and neuromuscular and aesthetic medicine. Mr. Reno has dedicated his career to working with both government and corporate entities, crafting policies and strategies that navigate the complexities of global and U.S. regulations. He has successfully supported drug development and commercialization efforts, leveraging his deep understanding of the regulatory landscape. Previously, Mr. Reno served in-house for life sciences companies, including a significant role as the Chief Government Affairs Officer at Allergan, Inc. In this position, he led lobbying and policy initiatives, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. In addition to his professional work, Edward Reno serves on the Board of Advisors at Goldman Edwards LLC, a prominent Information Technologies service provider, and on the Board of Directors of Verde Technologies. Verde Technologies manufactures the Deterra Pouch®, a pharmaceutical drug disposal system addressing the opioid crisis. He also advises IACTA Pharmaceuticals, a leading drug development company in the ophthalmic market. Before his corporate roles, Mr. Reno worked in the U.S. Senate and the Governor’s Office of the State of California, where he honed his skills in policy development and government affairs. His extensive background and commitment to regulatory excellence continue to make a significant impact in the life sciences industry.
